Wildlife Watch Group of the Year Awards

Wildlife Watch Group of the Year!

Are you proud of your Watch group? Do you think they deserve a prize? Then get involved in our Watch Group of the Year Awards! All you've got to do is show off what you've been up to and you could win some fantastic prizes!

What you need to do:

All you need to do is send in a yearbook that shows what your Wildlife Watch group has done this year. Maybe you have photos of each meeting that you could stick in a scrapbook along with some comments about what you did? Or maybe members of the group can write something, or draw pictures about the various meetings? You could even send in a high-tech yearbook in the form of a PowerPoint presentation or a short film?

It doesn't matter how you tell us about your year, as long as there is enough detail to give the judges a feel for what life is like for your Wildlife Watch group.

What we judge on:

The judges use the Wildlife Watch principles as the judging criteria, so please include as much evidence of these things as you can:

  • An interesting and varied programme
  • Well structured and organised meetings
  • A range of approaches and activities
  • Opportunities for practical participation
  • Plenty of outdoor activity
  • Lots of fun!

Who can enter?

All types of Wildlife Trust nature children's groups are eligible. You don't have to be called a 'watch group' - you might be a nature tots or teenage group!

All entries received will be entered into the UK Wildlife Watch Group of the Year competition. Additionally, new groups will be entered into the Best New Wildlife Watch Group category (all groups who were formed after 1st July 2018 will be entered into this category automatically).
