More about Sheffield Wildlife Trust

We are the largest environmental charity in Sheffield and Rotherham, working to promote the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment of the local area.  We work on special projects to protect vulnerable habitats and species alongside initiatives to make Sheffield and Rotherham's parks parks and green spaces more welcoming to all wildlife species.  We are also striving to bring people closer to nature by developing a living landscape for both people and wildlife.

Education service

Our education team works across South Yorkshire to engage children and young people in environmental education and outdoor activities. We offer a range of education services, from work with school groups on our nature reserves and in local parks, to improvements to school grounds and the provision of outdoor classrooms, and formal and informal education opportunities. We also run several outdoor play projects that give children fantastic outdoor experiences in a safe, supervised environment.
