Ipswich Wildlife Watch Group is Suffolk's only urban group. The group meets on the second saturday of each month betweeen 10am-Noon in Holywells Park in Ipswich. The park has many different habitats and is a great place to see wildlife in the town. To find out more about the group, email:

Just Bee Cause!

The sun was shining for us today for our Just Bee Cause session.We had great fun seed bombing our new plots and then making scarecrows to keep the birds away! We also made natural necklaces and finished off the morning with an Easter egg hunt! Thank you for everyone's hard work! We are looking forward to seeing how the plots turn out over the year!

Animal Detectives!

We had a great day during our Animal Detectives session, learning all about the different ways we can identify animals! We made plaster casts of foot prints, played bird bingo to learn how to use binoculars and played a game tracking prints, food and animals poo! Thank you to all that joined us!

Recycling 14.01.17

It was a lovely sunny start to this years Wildlife Watch. We had great fun in our Recycling themed session with activities based on how humans and animals recycle, and how natural resources can be recycled too! ♻️We did lots of running around to keep warm and got crafty making woodland faces too! Thank you to Friends of Holywells Park and Holywells Park who let us collect wood for your fire and and warm up a touch! ☀️❄️

Christmas Crafts 10.12.16

Great fun was had today getting crafty for our Christmas Craft session! We used treasure maps to find the hidden Christmas coins, decorated the trees with 3 different types of festive bird feeders and finished the session off with making a Wildlife Watch den! If you'd like to join us next year, then meet us at the stable blocks, Holywells Park, on the 14th of January 10 - 12pm. We wish you a Merry Christmas and hope to see you next year!
