Sorry to say that due to a variety of reasons we have decided to cancel Sundays meeting at Dixon’s woods.
Our next meeting will be at Wold Newton on Saturday 1st June — looking for signs of summer! More details to come later.

Making a wormery.

March 2nd
Venue: Dixon’s Wood, opposite Bradley woods, Near Grimsby.

April 13th ( due to tide times).
Sea dipping
Venue: Humberston beach, Thorpe Park car park.

May 4th
Pitfall traps and bracken clearing
Venue: Dixon’s Pond, opp Bradley woods.

June 1st
Walk in the woods looking for signs of summer
Venue: Wold Newton, at the far end of the village.

July 6th
Paddle boarding, to be confirmed, and ‘nurdling,’ ( sifting sand to find plastic particles).
Venue: Cleethorpes beach. Location to be decided.

Saturday 15th July Big Watch Day Out, for all Watch members in Lincolnshire. Woodhall Spa Airfield. Details and booking from Mary Porter

August 3rd
Nature walk. Sweeping with nets. Identifying insects, flowers and a bit of geology!
Venue: Irby Dales, meet opposite the church.

September 7th
Fungi forage
Venue: Weelsby woods

October 5th
Slug hunting, identifying and recording

November 2nd
Bird watching
Venue: Humberston Fitties / Tetney Marsh or pyewipe-

December 7th
Festive crafts including making Christmas wreath bird feeder. Hopefully some festive food and games as well!
Venue: classroom in the woods, Ashby cum Fenby

All meetings are usually the first Saturday of the month starting at 10 and finishing at 12, unless otherwise stated.
Usually we charge £2 per child unless it’s a special event, in which case we may ask for a donation.
We ask that people let us know if they intend to come. This helps with any catering we provide such as a drink/ snack.
All correspondence is done by email and possibly texts.
