Hailsham WATCH Group

Hailsham WATCH Group group logo

A group for children aged 5 - 10 years who are interested in exploring the local environment through fun hands on activities and games. We generally meet on the 2nd Sunday of each month at Abbots Wood outside Hailsham. To date we have been badger watching, pond dipping, learnt to light fires and build shelters, cooked food on the fire, helped the Forestry Commission Ranger check the site's dormice boxes, played loads of run around nature games, made rafts to float on the stream and loads more. All children need to be accompanied by an adult . All events are free but donations to the Sussex Wildlife Trust are appreciated. There is a £2.00 parking fee for the Forestry Commission car park. There is no shelter at the site so please come dressed for the weather. Toilets available on site. No disabled access. ******************************************************************************* Check out what the Hailsham Wildlife WATCHERS are up to this year Please contact Lisa Stevens who can send details of each months activities or 01323 844094 or 07512802177
