Spotting sheet help text

You can use this tool to create simple nature spotting sheets to print off and use outside. You need to be a registered user and logged in to use to create spotting sheets.

How do I get started?

To begin creating a spotting sheet, find an animal or plant in 'Explore Wildlife' that you want to add. Click the button that says 'Add to spotting sheet'. You'll a list begin to build itself on the brown paper at the right hand side of the page. You can add up to nine plants or animals to your sheet at a time.

The list is a bit like a shopping basket. Whenever you click the 'Add to spotting sheet' button next to any animal or plant, the animal or plant will then appear in your basket. If you want to remove species form your list just press delete next to the one you want to remove. You can even log out and come back later to finish your list if you want to.

I've made my list - now what?

When you are happy with your selection click the 'Create' button at the bottom of the list and you will see the final sheet appear as a print preview. You then need to give the sheet a name (e.g. farmland birds, my favourite animals) and save it.

IMPORTANT: Make sure your sheet looks exactly how you want it before you clikc save as you won't be able to edit it or delete it from your profile afterwards!

By clicking the pink 'Save spotting sheet' button, your sheet will will appear in your profile for you to come back to at any time. You can now print it by clicking the pink 'Print' button.

Have fun and good luck!
