Time to plan your wild adventures
We've now closed sign ups but if you would like to receive a 30 Days Wild pack with free goodies, please email digital@wildlifetrusts.org.
To help you complete your 30 Days Wild challenge, we’ve a whole bunch of fun things to do, from spotting wildlife when you’re out and about, to puddle jumping, wildlife yoga and making a bird feeder. For some of these activities, you will need the help of grown-ups, so why not get planning with yours!
Simple activities to get you started
Not sure where to start your 30 Days Wild adventure? Here are some simple suggestions to try. They all take just a few minutes - why not give some of them a go?
- Walk barefoot on the grass and focus on how the grass feels under your feet
- Hug a tree
- Listen to birdsong
- Smell a flower
- Watch a bumblebee travelling from flower to flower
- Eat your breakfast outside, enjoying the fresh air
- Spend 5 minutes watching the clouds. Can you see any shapes in them?
- Do a mini bioblitz in your garden! See how many different insects you can find in 5 minutes
- Look for the colours of the rainbow in nature
- Try a litter pick in your local area
Our weekly themes
To help you plan your 30 Days Wild adventure, we’ve come up with some weekly themes. But if you’ve got a better idea, then you don’t have to stick to the rules! You can make 30 Days Wild your own.
You might want to complete one activity a day, or one a week. You might want to have a go at all the themes or stick to just one. It’s really up to you (and your grown-ups, of course)! Keep a look out because we'll be adding special webpages very soon to help you plan your weekly activities!
