Sea dipping report and programme dates

On Sunday 17th June Coningsby Wildlife Watch group enjoyed a perfect day with a very low tide for a shore-search and sea dipping session in The Wash.
A number of interesting things were found on the shore search including a sea urchin, mermaids' purses and horn wrack - which isn't a seaweed as you might think!
The sea-dip found crabs, shrimps and prawns, sea gooseberries, and a selection of small fish including young flatfish and a pipe-fish - a relative of the sea horse.
A big thank you to Sophie - Education Officer at Gib Point - for leading us on the day.
