Events for children and families
Throughout the year, Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust organises a range of fun events to help young people get closer to our wonderful wildlife.
Our events and workshops engage younger children by learning through play, often with hands on activites and the chance to get a bit messy! Pond dipping, bugs hunts, arts and crafts are just some of the activities on offer designed to inspire children (and adults!) about the natural world on their doorstep.
Young adults can participate in schemes that help them socially interact with other groups in the local community and give them a sense of belonging. Many activities give young people ownership of a project and a real sense of acheivement. Events also give participants the chance to have a really good time and to make new friends.
Schools Membership programme
Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust also offers a Schools Membership programme, which is designed in line with the National Curriculum; our programmes are adapted to Key Stages 1, 2 & 3.
