More about Brecknock Wildlife Trust

Wildlife Watch Clubs

The Trust helps several local schools run Watch clubs for their pupils. If you are interested in setting up a Watch club in your school, please contact us.

Holiday Events

During school holidays, the Brecknock Wildlife Trust runs activity days on its reserves which are both fun and educational. They are open to both Watch members and any interested young people (under 8's welcome if accompanied by a parent). See the Events Diary on our website for details of forthcoming events.

Education Work

Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship is becoming an increasingly important subject in the school curriculum. As well as acting as leader to Wildlife Watch clubs based in schools in Brecknock, our Education Officer is available to assist at, or deliver, class sessions on any wildlife/environmental theme. These can be adapted to suit different primary aged children. Related art/craft and practical activities in school grounds can be incorporated.

Teachers are welcome to seek advice and borrow resources from the Trust.

School groups are welcome to visit our nature reserves (please contact us first).

Our Education Officer is available to visit playschemes.
