I spotted a blackbird earlier looking on our lawn for worms. We had just watered the plants so the worms came up to the surface. The bird came surprisingly close at only about a foot away!! I have seen this bird before. It loves our bird bath!

I visit watermead country park a lot and I have realised there is so much wildlife right under our nose. I saw ducks, swans and their sygnets, insects, cows, geese, cooter, rabbits and I also saw a hedgehog among the leaves. There are also lots of trees which I have identified as foxglove, laurel, hazel and more. My favourite is Hawthorn as I like the shape of the leaves and the vibrant colours on the berries. I think people should go outside more

It was warm lastnight so there was lots of midges and flies in my garden. At night when we were sat in the garden there was lots of bats around! They are beautiful! Then I looked into there eco-location and discovered that if you were to blow a dog whistle near them it can effect there eco- location and they can fly into thing! How dangerous!!

Isn't amazing what you can find in your garden. I went out on a bug count for 15 mins and found:
Wasp spiders
Garden spiders
Spider eggs
Woodlice
Ants
Butterflies
Moths
And bugs I have never seen. There are endless amounts of bugs some we haven't even discovered.
