About: A medium-sized bushy fern of rocky places on hillsides and slopes in the uplands.
How to identify: Parsley Fern grows two different kinds of leaves. The spore-producing, fertile fronds have narrowly oval leaf sections. The sterile fronds look just like parsley, hence the name.
Where: In the uplands of northern England, Scotland and Wales.
