What are nature stars?

About: This plant came to the UK from Japan as a garden plant but has since become a real problem because it is so hard to get rid of.

How to identify: Very tall ( up to 2 meters) with hollow stems that are a bit like bamboo and small white tufty flowers in late summer and autumn.

Where: Grows in most areas of the UK and Ireland

Fantastic fact: Also known as monkeyweed, elephant ears and donkey rhubarb
