After a few technical hitches, here's our latest birdcam clip! Things have moved on since last time we saw our blue tits. They have finished their nest making activities now and look to have made a home fit to raise the tiniest of babies. This is good news, as if you look at what our blue tit is sitting on, keeping warm, we may well have some chicks in the nest soon!

Nine days on from Birdcam2 and our blue tits' nest is unrecognisable from it's rather humble beginnings! The pair have obviously been busy building the nest from a variety of materials, including moss, grass, feathers and rabbit fur. It's all looking very cosy, which is just as well as one of them has been spotted sleeping in there recently!

Our blue tits have been busy nest building over the weekend. You can see on this clip that they've been popping in and out of the nest box a lot, bringing moss with them. They've also been pecking away at the entrance hole - maybe it's a bit of a squeeze getting in and out!

Those of you that have been coming to Watch Club for a while might remember that about three years ago we made some bird boxes for small garden birds, like blue tits and robins. Two years ago I put a camera in one of these and we saw blue tits making their nests and raising their young.
The good news is that it looks like this year we have another blue tit making a nest in the box! Check out this short video clip, which shows a blue tit starting to bring nesting material into the box (looks like some nice, soft moss) and move it around by putting its head down and moving around while flapping its wings. It doesn't look much like a nest yet, but hopefully we'll be able to watch it turn into a nice, cosy nest, ready for some eggs!

Meredy Trusler!!!
Well done Meredy on your lovely photo of a canada goose. We really liked how the goose is nice and big in your photo and the lovely contrast between the white chest and black head and neck. Also you have managed to get a really sharp photo, with no blurry bits - not very easy when you are trying to photograph moving animals!
The kind people at Exmoor Film and Digital, in Minehead, are now going to make a nice print of Amy's photo for her to keep - a big thank you to them!
I'd also like to say well done to everyone else who entered. We had some great photos and were really pleased with how well you have all done.
All that leaves me to say now is to wish everyone at Watch Club a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
