Winter to Spring 2014 dates!

Sunday 9 February: 2.00 - 3.30pm Practical Conservation task and owl pellets! Willow Tree Fen Nature Reserve.

We will be helping out with some of the winter work that needs to be done to
keep the reserve in tip-top condition.
We can also use one of the classrooms to find out what our barn owls have been eating recently by looking into some of their owl pellets.
Meet by the farm buildings at the northern end of the access track.

Sunday 9 March: 2.00 - 3.30pm Practical Conservation task
Dole Wood Nature Reserve.

With spring just around the corner we will be getting ready for the open day in April.
Wrap up warmly & wellies might be needed if it is wet & soggy!
Tools and gloves will be provided for the practical work sessions.

Sunday 13 April – ‘Signs of Spring’, Deeping Lakes, 2.00 – 3.30pm, meet in the main car park.

Sunday 11 May – ‘Making bug hotels’, Willow Tree Fen, 2.00 – 3.30pm, meet by the farm buildings.

Sunday 8 June – ‘Deeping Lakes open day’ – activities for children 10.30 – 16.00

Sunday 12 January: 2.00 - 3.30pm
Practical Conservation task Bourne Woods

Come and help us working on ‘our’ patch in Bourne Woods!
We will be clearing the paths and cutting/raking the grassland
area in the centre of our mini nature reserve.
It can be very muddy so wellies might be a good idea, and
remember to wrap up warmly.
Meet at the Beech Avenue entrance to the wood.

Practical conservation work:-
Wear stout footwear and old clothes, remember to wrap up warmly if it is cold. We provide the tools, and we have some leather gloves as well.
