Helping the Environment

Looking after the environment helps look after wildlife.

Things you do every day have an affect on the environment (and therefore wildlife) and there are lots of easy things that you can do to help make a positive difference. Look on this page and down the side  for more information on improving the environment for both us and wildlife.

You can save water if you:

  • shower rather than bath
  • bath with a friend!
  • use a toothmug rather than running the tap when you clean your teeth
  • catch and collect rainwater from your guttering using a rain butt
  • use rainwater, bath water and washing-up water on the garden or to clean the car
  • use a washing-up bowl in the sink rather than filling the actual sink

Water is precious - don't waste it!

And remember, if your household has a water meter, saving water means saving money too!
