About: A recent beneficiary of global warming, the Green Shieldbug was once restricted to southern England. In recent years, however, Green Shieldbugs have been on the march, and is now common and widespread across much of England and Wales and spreading ever northwards. The Green Shieldbug feeds on a wide variety of plants, helping to make this one species which could turn up anywhere.
How to identify: The commonest green shieldbug. Told from the similar Gorse Shieldbug by the dark grey sides.
Where: Widespread, becoming rarer in the north.

In the summer we get shield bugs in our garden. They're really cool!!

im a massive bug fan and i love shield bugs. Although they do give of that horrible smell...
