great morning at rspb sandwell valley on a bird walk . 33 species seen . got my first redwing and fieldfare , winter visitors .

i have briefly seen pipistrelle bat around our flats but lsast night it was around longer . it is always on its own ,not in a colony so dont know where its roosting.

choir trip to give a concert at llanrhaeadr yn mochnant and stopped off at lake vyrnwy rspb reserve . very quick bit of birding in the hide before going round the lake to the village where were to practise.
saw quite a few of birds including siskin, house martins including young in a nest on a house waiting to be fed. heard a cetti`s warbler.. quite a nice day out but wet.concert went ok .

recently went to rspb ynys hir reserve in mid wales -home of springwatch!. saw lots of birds busy feeding young esoecially pied flycatchers in and out of holes in trees feedong young ,also redstarts, oystercatchers, herons seen on webcams too plus buzzards . saw where presenters presented springwatch from and i sat where chris packham sat!
we also went to the dyfi osprey project and 3 eggs due to hatch . watched on webcam. great day
