About: This rare snake can only be found in a few places, often where other rare reptiles like the sand lizard are also found. This is because they both like the same kind of sandy heathland habitat.
How to identify: Usually about 50-60cm long, the smooth snake is usually a dark brown-ish colour.
Where: Very rare.
