How to identify: Nightingales are best recognised by their song. They lack the streaks of Dunnock or the red-breast of the Robin. Nightingales are a warmer brown colour and larger than the Garden Warbler. Perhaps most similar to a female Redstart, which has a brighter red
Where: Found in south east England, south of a line drawn from the Wash to the Severn.
