About:
A large, colourful thrush, about 25cm long. Maroon brown on the back, with a black tail, dark wings and pale grey rump and head. Fieldfares have an orangey breast streaked with black and black on the face in front of the eye. Fieldfares are common winter visitors. Hundreds of thousands migrate to the UK in search of fruits and berries.
