Snuffle snuffle
Wow - there are snowdrops everywhere! You go to sleep for a few weeks and when you wake up, everything is different!
I think that's my cue to start getting active again. At least I don't have to worry about making a New Year's resolution to lose weight like humans do - all that lovely fat I worked so hard to put on before Christmas has melted away. Now I have to start all over again.
Time to get to work...

Is winter over yet? I find it hard to stay wide awake and active at this time of year. I don't like leaving my warm bed!

There are loads of goldfinches visiting my bird feeders at the moment. They love the tiny seeds I put out for them and make a lovely twittery noise as they gather.
They're eating me out of house and home!

Report abusehi ,all just had a great morning at rspb sandwell valley on a guided walk. 33 species seen;; heron,wigeon,maqgpie,teal,great tit,bullfinch,woodpigeon,black headed gull,snipe,goosander,lapwing,shoveler,cootr,mallard,cormorant,canada goose,moorhen,swan,tufted duck,siskin,blackbird,gadwall,crow,chaffinch,greenfinch,redwing , fieldfare,dunnock,longtailed tit,, jackdaw and sparrow. i also saw red campion in flower, plus dandelion and white dead nettle. not a bad morning, cold but mostly sunny but sun`s gone now. anyone seen any waxwings ? i havent .
