Snuffle snuffle
I've been investigating my local ponds this week and guess what I've seen? Loads and loads of frog spawn!
I was amazed to see all the different colours frogs come in too. I listened out for calling frogs and tip-toed up to the edge of one particular water hole to find a few frogs still spawning. The smaller males were holding on tight to their mates (most of which didn't look too impressed) which made it easy to compare them. Some were quite red in colour!
Have any of you got frogs in your garden ponds?

Check out this video footage of a bittern at Mere Sands Wood, a Lancashire Wildlife Trust nature reserve (filmed by Ron Jackson).
Bittern camouflage is amazing, and the careful way they move helps them to stay hidden in their reedbed home. See if you can spot its huge foot when it stretches.
The Lancashire Wildlife Trust hope that the bittern breeding season will be starting at Mere Sands Wood soon.

Wow - there are snowdrops everywhere! You go to sleep for a few weeks and when you wake up, everything is different!
I think that's my cue to start getting active again. At least I don't have to worry about making a New Year's resolution to lose weight like humans do - all that lovely fat I worked so hard to put on before Christmas has melted away. Now I have to start all over again.
Time to get to work...

Is winter over yet? I find it hard to stay wide awake and active at this time of year. I don't like leaving my warm bed!

Hi everyone, today I went on a walk near a woodland and I saw a grey squirrel running up a tree and some small birds, it was cool!!! Also I have just seen a tiny mouse in my garden!! It was really cute!!! I think that it's a field mouse.
